So Many WordPress Sites . . .
Today’s featured site in my series, Websites Built with WordPress, will be Leite’s Culinaria. Remember, the point of these posts is to show potential WordPress users what this amazing platform is capable of.
This WordPress website was made with . . . an unknown theme! I reached out to the site owner letting them know I was featuring their website on a post, and I asked them what theme they were using, but I got no response. So, unfortunately, I don’t know which theme is being used. I do know they’re hosted with Synthesis (at the time of this writing) and that they get significant traffic (well over 100,000 unique visitors per month). So it’s pretty clear that WordPress is a platform that can handle heavy traffic.
One thing interesting about Leite’s Culinaria is the use of ads. They are prominently placed around the site (turn off your ad blocker if you’re not seeing them). If you’re interested in starting an ad campaign, obviously WordPress can work well for you.
The presentation is very clean. I like the full-width red bar on the top with the title. The rotating image on the front page is also a nice touch. Many WordPress themes offer an image slider or some sort of rotating image on the front page, so if that’s something you’re after, WordPress offers many options.
Leite’s Culinaria is also responsive, meaning it looks perfect on any screen on any device. It looks just as amazing on my iphone as it does on the big screen in my office.
I must mention that I haven’t yet tried the Hershey’s Chocolate Cake, but as I write this, I’m showing my wife and saying, “Pretty please?”
Make sure you bookmark Leite’s Culinaria and take some time to read David’s blog for some amazing cooking ideas.
